Thursday Nov 1st Today's Intention: Family
|
Yogin/is:
Over the past few days my family and I have had some disagreements, it hasn't been a pleasant experience but it has been a learning experience. I think I had my first real altercation with my sons and that was nearly devastating for me...but in some ways it was fun to see them stretching their independence and being the strong people I knew I raised them to be. On the other hand I was experiencing growing pains as I connected with my step father who after 20 years I felt like he was really truly my dad and we struggled with my step brothers own growing pains. All the while today I face a regression therapy session to help me further cope with/ integrate Rob's death and how that has created the person I am today. All these things have only served to bring me closer to a truth I have always known...family is life. Family, the people related by blood, by experience, by common bonds, by love, by choice...and although we may not always see eye to eye, we may hurt each other worse than any stranger ever could...Family stands together - family forgives - loves - supports - heals ...and carries on. And when we stop to breathe into that truth we realize that we are part of a very large family indeed.
So for my sons - Derek, Dorian, Lars and Nerov..for my step daughters Elizabeth and Marissa...for my Mom, Dad, brothers, for Carl and his children, Alanna, Laura, Diane, Lauri...OH the list is too large too carry on...so many people that I love...and have been there for me...Today I encourage you on your mat to reach out and feel that love and gratitude for your family...for no matter what they are with you!
Today's Mantra: inhale: I forgive exhale: I am forgiven
Today's Asana: Plow - Halasana... clear the mind, the heart, the past.
Loving thoughts, Loving Actions, Loving Words
